I'm Marquel Forbes, a professional headshot photographer based in South Riding, Virginia, serving clients throughout Loudoun County, Northern Virginia, and the Washington, DC area.
Before becoming a photographer, I spent more than 35 years building a career in accounting, finance, corporate leadership, and entrepreneurship. I understand what it means to work in environments where credibility matters and where the way you present yourself can influence how people receive you.
That perspective shapes every session I photograph.
I work with executives, attorneys, doctors, entrepreneurs, business owners, and professionals who want to look polished, confident, and approachable without looking stiff, overly posed, or unlike themselves. Many of my clients arrive feeling uncomfortable in front of the camera. My job is to guide them through the entire process, from wardrobe and posing to expression and final image selection, so they never have to figure it out on their own.
I care about helping people see themselves accurately. My goal is not to make you look overly retouched or like a version of someone else. I want you to look polished, confident, and recognizable, like yourself on a very good day.
I think of each session as a private image consultation rather than a traditional photo appointment. We consider how you want to be seen, where your images will be used, and what they should communicate about you. Your time is respected, the process is intentional, and every detail is handled with care.

Throughout the session, you'll check in on the monitor to review images and refine direction: swap an outfit, change a background, or adjust an expression before we keep shooting. Just enough visibility to build confidence in real time, without staring at a screen between every click.
